It offers the functionality of a high capacity Tandem or Class 5 switch along with a fault-tolerant packet-based switch for TDM, VoIP, and VoATM services. The LCS features a 15Gb/s switch fabric and supports 80,640 protected DS-0 ports/shelf in TDM applications and 21,504 ports/shelf for VoIP and VoATM.

The LCS platform has completed an independent reliability analysis by Telcrodia and has achieved 99.999994% availability.

Enhanced 911 is a system that associates an address with the calling party's telephone number.
When the caller dials 911, 123.net will route the call to correct PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point)
based on the caller’s address. The caller's information is then immediately displayed to the 911 dispatcher.
