Position Description:

  • Support 123Net’s Direct Sales, Agent and Wholesale Channels providing technical direction and design on complex voice and data solutions
  • Provides technical sales support to help drive revenue, shorten the sales cycle, and win complex sales opportunities
  • Responsible for providing detailed Visio diagrams that will be utilized in complex sales opportunities and as a tool to assist the Project Manager to successfully coordinate service delivery
  • The SE will validate deliverables and assure order documentation is accurate prior to submittal of complex sales order
  • Serves as technical liaison between pre-sale and post-sales to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Provides technical training to employees and partners
  • Provides insight and recommendations on service delivery optimization and product development
  • Responsible for maintaining carrier relationships and access delivery methods

Qualifications:

  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong consultative experience to providing customer solutions and design
  • Extensive knowledge of data and voice networks with an emphasis on MPLS, Colocation, IP, Wireless, VLAN’s, Managed Routers (Cisco, Adtran), TDM, SIP, PBX, SONET, Optical Networking
  • Knowledge of Routing Protocols such as BGP, OSPF, RIP, VRF Lite, QoS,
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • 3+ years experience in Sales Engineering

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Telecommunications: 3 years
